Migration date is 01/25/2014.

I just tested with 01/15/2014 as capitalization date as per the screen shot-it is allowing us to post values.

But the requirement is to allow these postings for last year, assets capitalised before migration date. So, do we need to make changes in take over date or capitalisation date, (I am providing here the test data. Not actual migration dates). or else changing in OADB is fine?  which option  is advisable..

Assets are created mostly in Previous year.

Please advise to proceed with this. I never worked in this area.
