Re: SR 7 patch on windows environment

Please don't mind due to personal problem i was in leave-

 

I have joined yesterday....

 

I read all communication suggested by you and summarized the part.

 

Backup-

 

 

1. File repository

2. CMS DB backup

 

 

 

Server Up-gradation Procedure(SAP BO XI 3.1 SR6 TO SR 7)

 

 

* STOP ALL the services.

 

 

then-

 

 

1.To launch the installation program run setup.exe.

2.Select the language you want to run the installation program in and click OK.

3.On the Welcome dialog box, click Next.

4.On the License Agreement dialog box, review the content of the End User License Agreement and click I accept the License Agreement,

  then click Next to proceed if you agree to the terms.

5.Provide your CMS name and login credentials, and click Next.

6.Click Yes if you want the installation program to redeploy your web applications for you as part of the upgrade, or

click No if you want to manually redeploy your web applications later.

7.Click Next.

8.On the Start Installation dialog box, click Next to begin the installation.

  The Installation Progress dialog box appears.

9.After the installation is complete, check to see if any BusinessObjects Enterprise servers are still stopped.

If any servers have not restarted, start them manually through the Central Management Console (CMC),

or restart the Server Intelligence Agent (SIA) from the Central Configuration Manager (CCM).

 

 

Client Installation procedure(SAP BO XI 3.1 SR6 TO SR 7)-

1.Launch the installation by running setup.exe.

2.Select the language you want to run the installation program in and click OK.

3.On the Welcome dialog box, click Next.

4.On the License Agreement dialog box, review the content of the End User License Agreement and click Next to proceed if you agree to the terms.

5.On the Start Installation dialog box, click Next to begin the installation.

The Installation Progress dialog box appears.

 

 

 

Rollback Process-

Our machine is on VM

1. snapshot of the server before upgrade

 

Please let me know whether all the above steps are ok or not. We have clustered environment(3 nodes). It could be great if i get screenshot.
