The Material / Service Cost Collected under Work Order are getting settled to the Cost Center that is the current Settlement Profile.
Changing the Settlement profile to G/L Account as receiver can be made, but that would impact the Management Report in terms of Cost Center.
All the Work Order Cost currently might get settled to a Maintenance Cost Center which could be used for Reporting purpose, if you change the rule the Cost Center Report many not reflect the result.
What is the exact reporting requirement that the Client is demanding? KOB1 - Order Line Item report can give GL Account (Cost Element) wise report that could meet the need.
Before changing the Profile please cross check with the Business Team.
