Krishnendu, Can you execute a mass-processing check for your PV's and make corrections as required? Then execute MRP to check if system creates a PE order type directly (for BOM selection method maintained as 2 in the material master) instead of the LA type and confirm if it works.
As long as the PV's are current with updated changes we should see PE types only.
