Re: Resubmitting a BPM UWL Task

I see many sites turn off USB ports of their employees' notebooks, but who would ever buy an operating system that does not support USB devices at all?

Seriously: Thank you for your input an impulse. I agree that resubmission lacks commitment of people to execute their workitems in time. But on the other hand, there are factors unknown to the software that influence how the human in front of ULW (or BPM inbox) organizes the process of getting her/his human tasks done. And this is the area where UWL, BPM (inbox) are very poor, almost feature-less. Between "activation time" and "due time", the software - here BPM - should support humans to organize their work. This is the requirement behind the "resubmission". "moving to a different folder" would be fine, too, but how can it be done in UWL/BPM?

Is there any accepted task framework out there that does not support resubmission? Even MS Outlook serves you much better in organizing your tasks.

Of course the requirement of resubmission might be an indicator that the human process should be analyzed. But resubmission is widely accepted of our customers. Our customers will never turn off resubmission in their ABAP workflows, they are used to this behavior of the software for years now and they only see that UWL and BPM are behind (and BPM Inbox is even more "beta").

Best regards

Rolf
