Do you have 8.5 and R2 on the same PC? If so don't, not supported. Could be R2 is loading the wrong driver. Try renaming c:\windows\crystal folder and rename crpe32.dll in \windows\system32 folder and test again in R2.
If they are not on the same PC then possibly using the Set Location option may update the RPT file, simply doing a verify may not update the DB driver dll name, we renamed them all in CR 9.
Then ultimately what you REALLY want to do is convert all of your report to use XML and stop using the ttx driver, it was deprecated, or should be. XML is the standard these days...
Should be relatively easy to convert your reports to XML.
